E8 Markets Review 2025: No Min Trading Days, Up to 100% Split
Each faint trail is one simulated future for this strategy. The bold line is the median — half of runs finished above it, half below. The shaded band spans the lucky 10th to unlucky 90th percentile, so an outcome inside the band was reasonable to expect; outside, less so.
- ✓ E8 Markets offers four platform options — MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker, MatchTrader
- ✓ No minimum trading days on any challenge — pass as quickly as your strategy allows
- ✓ Profit split scales from 80% to 100% depending on account type
- ✓ Challenge fees start at $40 and are non-refundable — unlike FTMO
- ✓ Dynamic trailing drawdown is stricter in practice than the 8% headline figure suggests
E8 Markets (formerly E8 Funding) launched in 2021 and has grown to become one of the most trader-flexible prop firms available. Its standout features are genuine differentiators: four supported platforms when most firms lock you into one, no minimum trading day requirement, and a profit split that can reach 100% for top performers. It has paid out $38.9M across 12,772 verified payouts.
TradeOnMath has an affiliate relationship with E8 Markets and earns a commission on signups through our link. This is disclosed here and on every page linking to them. It does not change the assessment — the non-refundable fee and tighter-than-headline drawdown rules are real downsides that this review covers honestly.
Challenge structure
E8 Markets primarily offers one-step and two-step challenge formats. The one-step (E8 One) requires a single profit target phase; the two-step (E8 Signature) requires two phases. By 2026 they have moved mostly toward one-step challenges.
| Rule | E8 One (1-step) | E8 Signature (2-step) |
|---|---|---|
| Profit target | 10% | 10% then 5% |
| Max drawdown | 8% (dynamic trailing) | 8% (dynamic trailing) |
| Daily loss limit | 4% | 4% |
| Min trading days | None | None |
| Time limit | None | None |
| News trading | Permitted (Signature) | Permitted |
| Fee refunded? | No | No |
The dynamic trailing drawdown — read this carefully
E8's 8% drawdown is a dynamic trailing drawdown calculated in real time from the highest equity point reached. This is meaningfully stricter than a fixed drawdown from starting balance. Here's why it matters:
If you start with $100,000 and grow to $110,000, your new drawdown floor rises to $101,200 (8% below $110,000). You now have less room to lose than when you started — the drawdown limit follows your equity up but never comes back down. A strategy that had a 7% historical drawdown from starting balance could breach the 8% dynamic rule after a good early run creates a higher equity peak.
This is not a criticism of E8 — dynamic trailing drawdown is the industry direction and arguably fairer than fixed balance drawdown in the long run. But beginners who calculate "my worst drawdown is 7%, I have 8% room" are doing the math wrong. Account for the trailing nature before paying the challenge fee.
Platforms and markets
The four platform options are E8's clearest differentiator. MT5 for algorithmic and EA traders, cTrader for advanced charting, TradeLocker and MatchTrader as modern web-based alternatives. Markets include forex pairs, indices, commodities, and crypto — standard prop firm coverage. The E8X Analytics Dashboard provides real-time risk metrics including daily drawdown tracking, which is genuinely useful for staying inside the rules
| Account Size | E8 One Fee | E8 Signature Fee | Profit Split |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | ~$112 | ~$148 | 80%–100% |
| $50,000 | ~$188 | ~$228 | 80%–100% |
| $100,000 | ~$348 | ~$428 | 80%–100% |
| $200,000 | ~$588 | ~$748 | 80%–100% |
The 100% profit split is available at specific payout tiers selected at checkout. The standard tier starts at 80%. Fees are not refunded regardless of outcome — factor this into your expected-value calculation before buying. Multiple failed attempts at $348 per attempt add up quickly.
Payout structure
Payouts are available every 14 days with a minimum of 5 profitable trading days between requests. A payout buffer equal to the EOD drawdown amount must be maintained before requesting. Payout methods include bank transfer via Plane and cryptocurrency via Rise. Processing typically takes 1–2 business days after approval.
FAQ
Does E8 Markets allow EAs and automated trading?
Yes — EAs with unique strategies are allowed. Copy trading between your own accounts is permitted. Copy trading between different evaluations or other traders' accounts is not allowed.
Can I hold positions over the weekend on E8?
Yes on standard accounts. Positions are closed at 23:00 server time and reopen at 00:15 server time each day — this is an overnight rollover, not a weekend restriction.
What is the E8 consistency rule?
A 40% best-day consistency rule applies on funded (Performance) accounts — your single best day cannot represent more than 40% of your total profit. This applies after funding, not during the challenge. It is designed to prevent traders from "lucky day" performance that doesn't reflect consistent edge.
Is E8 Markets available in India?
Yes — E8 Markets accepts traders from India. Payouts are available via cryptocurrency (Rise) which is the most practical method for Indian traders given current banking restrictions on prop firm transfers.
